Missing You
A missing brother, a missing son,
All together, all but one,
We travel, we search, we pray and we cry,
No answers, no leads, no reason why.
We live each day, hour by hour,
Holding hope high, high as a tower,
We stand up tall for all to see,
But beneatth were broken, brittle as can be.
Our hearts are torn and in need of repair,
There is only one answer to our everlasting prayer
To hug you and squeeze you and hold you tight
To hear your voice, to know your alright.
Each night we sleep with dried tears,
Each morning we wake with terrible fears
Not knowing is a tormenting feeling
Loneliness, emptiness, living but no meaning.
Weeks have passed , forever we remember,
The times we had before that November
But where are you now,
what happened back then?
We need you here, we need normal again.
JP, we miss you more than the eternal sky
We will never give up, we will continue to try
Your out there somewhere, but where is there?
How long will we wait, why is life so unfair?
Our little brother, our only son
All together, still missing one,
All we cling to is your voice on a phone
But it will help us get to that day you come home.
